What
Match 3 of the Oppo CLT20 2014 features the Cape Cobras pitted against the Northern Knights.
Cape Cobras are competing in the Oppo CLT20 2014 by virtue of finishing runners-up in the Ram Slam T20 challenge in South Africa. The team suffered a big blow when JP Duminy was ruled out of the competition owing to a knee injury he picked up while doing national duty on the tour of Zimbabwe. Yet, there are plenty of experienced campaigners and plenty of exciting talent in the squad to take the team beyond the group stages.
Northern Knights, who have been in India for nearly three weeks now, were by a distance the best team in the pre-tournament qualifiers. They brushed past their three opponents in convincing fashion and will be brimming with confidence heading into the tournament proper. The team boasts of a very potent new-ball attack, and they will be banking on the team’s familiarity of conditions to go one up on their opponents who have hardly had a hit since landing in India.
